EP Spawning Shrimp
Varying the weight of the dumbbell eyes (using lead, brass, or mono) allows you to customize the fly's sink rate for different water conditions. The fly will slim down significantly once wet.

Tying Instructions
-
1
Secure the fluorescent orange thread behind the eye of the hook and wrap a base down the shank.
-
2
Fold and tie in a strand of Olive Krystal Flash on top of the shank to form the antennae.
-
3
Dub a small clump of Tan Ice Dubbing onto the thread, wrap it at the bend of the hook, and pull the fibers back.
-
4
Tie in a small portion of orange McFlylon to represent the egg sack.
-
5
Tie in a pair of EP Crab & Shrimp eyes on top of the shank, angled outward and extending past the bend.
-
6
Secure one barred rubber leg on each side of the shank behind the eyes.
-
7
Wrap the thread forward and tie in a pair of dumbbell eyes on the top of the shank near the hook eye so the fly rides hook-point up.
-
8
Tie in the EP Tarantula Brush, wrap the thread back to the bend, and palmer the brush forward to the dumbbell eyes while stroking the fibers back.
-
9
Secure and trim the brush, then use a brush or comb to tease out any trapped fibers.
-
10
Build a neat thread head, whip finish, apply UV resin, and cure it with a UV light.
