Pixies Revenge

Pixies Revenge is an Alaskan salmon and steelhead attractor developed by George Cook during the 1980s as part of his influential family of marabou patterns known as the Alaskabous. It is especially effective for coho salmon but can also be used for steelhead and other Pacific salmon. The fly may be swung through runs, stripped across pools, or retrieved aggressively when fish are willing to chase. Its marabou construction produces considerable movement with very little current, making it useful in both rivers and slower holding water. Pixies Revenge can be tied in several sizes and color variations, with the main considerations being keeping the materials mobile, maintaining a balanced profile, and avoiding an excessively bulky fly that becomes difficult to cast.
