The Light Cahill Dry Fly is a traditional Catskill dry fly that was invented in the 1880s and holds strong today as one of the top flies for imitating adult mayflies. Designed by Dan Cahill in Port Jervis, New York, the Light Cahill has been catching fish for well over a hundred years, and over its lifespan, it remains mostly unchanged. An effective original from its beginning, the Light Cahill has a cream-colored body that blends ginger-colored tail fibers and hackling with mallard wings. This combination of colors and materials makes it a great choice when matching anything from the Light Cahill mayflies to Grey Foxes and March Browns. With its ability to match a variety of spring and summer mayflies, it&';s important to carry Light Cahills from the start of the spring dry fly season at least through summer and even into fall on some waterways. Sizes 12-16 should always be on hand in order to be prepared for any light-colored dun that begins to hatch. When fishing the Light Cahill, it&';s important to get a drift with as little drag as possible, and this is a great fly to present to overfish. Whether you&';re on the Delaware River or the secret stream next to your family&';s camp, the Light Cahill isn&';t a fly to leave behind.Colors Available:LightSizes Available:12, 14, 16, 18
