Carp-It Bomb Fly
The fly has a soft presentation and is effective for carp. The fluorescent orange head is optional but helps visibility in darker water. Adjust weight as desired for sink rate.

Tying Instructions
-
1
Start with a Gamakatsu SL45 size 6 hook and wrap about ten turns of .015 lead wire around the shank for weight.
-
2
Attach UTC 140 Chartreuse thread and tie in the large black bead chain eyes leaving room in front of them.
-
3
Wrap thread back over the lead wire to secure everything and apply glue to lock the eyes and wire in place.
-
4
Tie in a bunch of olive Wooly Bugger marabou for the tail approximately the length of the hook shank.
-
5
Cut one Sili Leg in half and tie one half on each side of the fly near the tail to create legs, trimming them to match the tail length.
-
6
Create a dubbing loop with thread and spin on Cohen's Carp Dub Olive Bar to form the body, wrapping it forward to just behind the eyes.
-
7
Trim the body dubbing slightly for a controlled buggy look and adjust the legs as needed.
-
8
Tie in more Sili Legs behind the eyes on both sides and trim to length.
-
9
Add a small amount of dubbing behind the eyes to push the legs back.
-
10
Tie in more olive marabou on the bottom of the fly in front of the eyes to create a belly.
-
11
Add a final layer of Cohen's Carp Dub on top over the marabou.
-
12
Whip finish with the chartreuse thread and optionally add a hot spot with fluorescent orange thread at the head.
-
13
Brush out the materials to shape the fly nicely.
